• Special Services

    Students with disabilities are served in the least restrictive environment based upon their individual needs. Clarendon County School District offers a full continuum of special education programs. The identification of children is based upon federal and state regulations and guidelines.

    Children may be eligible in one or more of the following areas of disability.

    • Autism
    • Developmental Delay
    • Emotional Disability
    • Hearing Impairment
    • Intellectual Disability (Mild, Moderate, Severe)
    • Learning Disability 
    • Multiple Disabilities
    • Orthopedic Impairment
    • Other Health Impaired
    • Speech or Language Impairment
    • Traumatic Brain Injury
    • Visual Impairment

    Related Services may be necessary to assist a student.  As appropriate, the following related services may be provided.

    • Assistive Technology
    • Occupational Therapy
    • Physical Therapy
    • Nursing Services
    • Transportation
