• PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

    Dear Eagles Family and Friends,

    Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! It is with a humble heart that I begin my first year as principal of this noble institution that we love - Scott’s Branch Middle High School. We are all experiencing the disruptions to our lives brought about by the Covid-19 disease. As we venture into uncharted territories, we have to make changes in the way things are done. The new normal will require visionary and transformational leadership that embraces change in the way education is offered and how instruction is carried out. If we are to increase our effectiveness as an institution of learning, we must accept the  fact that our lives may be forever disrupted, our routines disturbed, and our responses altered. We must rise to the challenges and adapt to our new circumstances.Please rest assured that I will do my absolute best every day to maintain a healthy learning environment where all of our students will feel safe and welcome.     My overarching goal is the safety and well-being of each student every day. This will be achieved with the full cooperation and collaboration of students, teachers, parents, and the community. I hope to fully engage all our stakeholders in the development of a sustainable School/Family/Community (SFC) partnership that will outlast my period of stewardship here at Scott’s Branch. This safe and secure environment will be the springboard for my major academic objective, which is to increase the achievement of every student so that they can all realize their full academic potential. The instructional leader more than anyone else must bear the impetus of creating a school culture that provides value and equity to all students. I will continue my open-door policy, practice transparency,and will create a culture and climate that is inclusive and that embodies our vision and mission

    In these challenging times, we are all called upon to do more, stretch a little farther, expend greater effort, and engage a little deeper. I am ready for the task and I am confident that the staff here at Scott’s Branch is up to the challenge to provide rigorous student-centered lessons in an atmosphere that is fair and free from fear. We will have a great year! We will move the needle in a positive direction! Together we will build on the solid foundation that my predecessors have laid and we will achieve greater things in 2022 – 2023
