    Manning Elementary School’s mission is to educate children. Manning Elementary School strives to help all students develop world class skills and life and career characteristics which are part of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. These characteristics provide the opportunity for every child to experience academic and social success. Manning Elementary School continues to implement rigorous standards in all subject areas for career and college readiness. Some of our teachers use, STEM, an inquiry based model of teaching ELA using science, math, and social studies.

    Manning Elementary School is located in the center of Clarendon County and is home to approximately 700 students in grade 4, 5, and 6.  Most students come from a rural setting with 61% African American students, 29% Caucasian students and 10% other.  Each classroom at Manning Elementary School is fully equipped with technology including a Smartboard, projector, document camera, and laptop. Each student at Manning Elementary School had access to a Dell Laptop that is used for instruction, communication, and learning. Manning Elementary School participates in service learning projects such as Relay for Life, Pennies for Presents, Sacks of Love, and various food drives.

    Manning Elementary School continues to increase rigor through a project based learning approach by using one to one devices, and promoting lifelong readers who are prepared to face the 21st century. The vision of Manning Elementary School is Making Everyone Successful!
