The S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce published a press release regarding the launch of its Cybersecurity Internship Program, which is now open for applications.
The press release and an infographic explaining the program are attached. The press release is also available to read on the DEW website here.
They expect this internship to not only be a great success for South Carolina, but also kickstart extraordinary IT careers and influence positive changes in our state’s workforce.
Please feel free to reach out to interns@dew.sc.gov with any questions at all regarding the program.
Central Carolina Technical College has once again removed tuition costs for qualifying academic programs.
No-cost tuition makes college accessible for everyone. As the premier training resource for workforce in our area, CCTC is addressing the labor shortage through access, training and pathways that begin in high school.
Farmers Telephone Cooperative (FTC) is offering a federally subsidised program which is specifically geared toward qualifying low-income families and may provide up to a $50 credit on their bills for broadband internet access. There are some steps that have to be done by the family, but it can be of benefit to our local families.
Attention CSD2 Parents! In partnership with the Carolina Family Engagement Center, we are building a strong Family Leadership Team called Community and Parents for Public Schools (CAPPS). Parents are positioned to learn new strategies, build leadership skills, and be equipped to more effectively advocate for their children, families, and communities. If you are interested, please apply at https://tinyurl.com/yzzrme59
Benefits of being a CAPPS Parent Leadership Partner include:
A stipend for participants who complete all PLP requirements.
The 2021-22 sessions are expected to be held virtually.
