    Dear MPS Families,

The second semester of the 2016-2017 school year is upon us. It is very important to take all opportunities to support and monitor student success. Please continue to check book bags and homework folders for grade reports and graded assignments. Interim reports were sent home last week and report cards may be picked up on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. While we look forward to seeing you on April 3, we welcome you to visit classrooms and schedule conferences with teachers any time.

We have 32 school days before third grade students will take the South Carolina College and Career READY Assessments (SC READY). All third graders will take SC READY on April 25, April 26, and April 27. Help us prepare students for these untimed assessments by reading with them for at least 15-20 minutes every day and reviewing math facts with them every day. Every minute of each school day is designed to prepare students for success. Therefore, it is very important that students are in class by 7:30 AM for Independent Reading and that they stay in school until we dismiss at 2:40 PM. Each student should attend school “All Day, Every Day” to ensure success on all assignments and assessments.

The vision of Manning Primary School is to create a nurturing environment where all students can be successful. Your support of this vision is vital to our success.

    Sincerely,

    Otis Reed, Jr.

    Principal
